We take care of everything — brakes, lube services, major services, clutches, differentials and engine builds — just about any auto repair need you may have!
We are a workshop whos speciality is American branded vehicles, we are not however limited to these vehicles alone. We are not a shop with a glossy floor, we are a real-deal ‘old school’ workshop, but with the benefit of having modern day diagnostics equipment.
We are members of RMI, MIOSA and MIWA and we strive to give the best service possible.
Your car is our passion and we welcome you to our family.
Our history
Akkerman Motors – The Workshop, was established in 1974 by Frans Akkerman who was very well known and respected in the automotive community.
In 2001 I took over the company after working with him and learning from him under his guidance for many years.
We not only service, maintain and build restomod vehicles, we also supply parts for American Branded Vehicles on the South African Roads, Cadillacs, Luminas and Hummers.
I Appreciate all the support over my years of ownership. I believe it is because I would prefer to have you as a long term client than overcharge you and never see you again that our doors are still open.
